You Need Power

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8).

D.L. Moody was a shoe salesman until God moved him into a full-time preaching ministry, often in the streets of Chicago. There came a point in his journey with God that he realized he needed more in his life than what he was experiencing. "At the close of the Sabbath evening services I remember two holy women they would say to me, 'We have been praying for you.' I said, 'Why don't you pray for the people?' They answered, 'You need power.'

Over an Above - John Avanzini

Inilah perkataannya:

And also, because I have delighted in the house of my God, out of my own treasure of gold and silver I have given to the house of my God over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,  three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses;  the gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all kinds of work by the hands of skillful workers. And who is willing to consecrate his service this day to Jehovah?  (I Ch 29:3-5 MKJV)

Daud adalah satu-satunya orang yang digelari Tuhan dengan gelar yang paling dahsyat "man after My own heart". Kenapa?

Throwing Off Hindrances

Happy Chineese New Year! Gong xi fa cay! Wish you be more prosperous & healthy - spiritually & physically - this year!

I want to share with you guys what I got from very first City Harvest Church KL's (CHCKL) sermon since Chineese New  Year, by Keith Tay. I have been trully blessed by annointed & well-prepared sermons in CHCKL since my first time there (it's already four months now) but I never blog about it until now. But this time, I feel like God wants me to share this sermon through blog. Hopefully you will be blessed!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. (Heb 12:1 NIV)
We believe that this new year 2011 will be the best year we've ever had before. Why? Because we simply believe that God wants us to be more like Jesus every year. He wants us to reflect His glory so that other will also believe in and worship Him. That's why we also prepare ourselves to enter this new year according to God's Words which are having faith in His promises, throwing off everything that hinders us and run our race with preseverance. Paul said that our life in Christ is just like race - or to be more specific, marathon. But maybe since most of the time we've to face various challenges in life, it's more like a triathlon where athletes have to swim, cycle and run to the finish line. Triathlon indeed requires athletes to prepare well, just like life requires us to prepare well.

You're My Father

This is one of the song that capture my heart at the first time I listened to it. It's sung by my most favorite Indonesian singer & songwriter, Sidney Mohede. This song You're My Father reminds us, who believe in Jesus Christ, that no matter what happen in our life, God is still our father and we're His beloved son. Even if we run away from Him or fall into sin, we can always turn our eyes to God and find Him there, waiting for us to come back. How sweet is our God! :)

You're My Father

It doesn't matter where I run You're there for me
It doesn't matter what I've done Your love's for me
You wipe away the tears, You lift me when I fall
My life is saved by the mercy of Your grace

It doesn't matter where I go You walk with me
It doesn't matter when I fall You cover me
You wipe away the tears, You lift me when I fall
My life is saved by the mercy Your grace

Installing Apache2 PHP5 MySQL on Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat

Hi, I am Meerkat
Finally, I installed Ubuntu Desktop (32-bit) v10.10 with code name Maverick Meerkat.

In my opinion, the installation user interface looks awesome and friendly too. I also like the default font (don't know the name yet) and the icon sets. Not to mention, there are a bunch of cool applications like Gwibber social client, Pitivi video editor, Gbrainy brain game and Sudoku game.

But besides that fancy stuffs, I also need this meerkat to help me develop some web based apps. So I decided to find some guides to install Apache2, PHP5, MySQL and Phpmyadmin. Luckily, I found some good guides:
